The paper presents the results of a study of nylon strength from different manufacturers for abrasion, rupture in clew and whisker knot. Based on the physics of the process, a formula for calculating the loss of strength of strength in knots is obtained. It is shown that in calculations and in practice it is necessary to take into account the characteristics of the strength with wear up to 50% inclusive.
